DEMOCR300 HP warranties

Newly purchased printers from HP usually come with a limited warranty, and when purchasing a new unit that is probably the extent of what you will be told.  Even though most people don’t know exactly what their warranty is for and what it covers, it is important to be aware. HP printers may be good, but they don’t have super powers. Somewhere down the line, something will go wrong, and it is good to know what you can do.

There are many instances in which your warranty can be used and many instances in which it can’t. Upon purchase, HP promises that their products will not have defects due to workmanship or materials in the product.  If programming instructions cannot be executed for software, the warranty applies.  HP will only honor warranties for products that have had defects due to normal usage, but it will not cover products that have been tampered with or misused in any way.

If your printer works fine without interruptions or problems, HP will not replace your product under any circumstance.  If you let HP know of your defects or errors within the warranty period, though, HP will replace or repair the printer.  However, if the product is never returned to HP, they may not give a refund or replacement until everything has been returned.

The use of remanufactured ink or toner cartridges in an HP unit does not affect the warranty in any way.  Though sales representatives at HP or websites may tell you that the usage of the remanufactured inks may void your warranty- it is not true.

DEMOCRLONG HP warranties

According to the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Improvement Act, no manufacturer can put stipulations on their written or implied warranty due to brand that is used.  A manufacturer cannot void your warranty due to the usage of a remanufactured ink or toner cartridges.

Though there are other warranties out there and other stipulations, the limited warranty is standard.
