Users of an HP printer may sometimes see an “error code 10.32” message after installing a new part or cartridge.  This message alerts the user that the part they installed was not manufactured by HP.  This can be somewhat misleading, as many users may assume this means the part is defective or incompatible with their printer, when in fact, this is most often not the case at all.

This message was not designed to discourage users from using compatible cartridges and other parts not directly manufactured by HP, but instead was designed to discourage fraudulent sellers from misleading customers into thinking they were purchasing a genuine HP part when in fact, they were not.

If you are using a part or cartridge that you know was not manufactured by HP directly, you can simply disregard this message by pressing the checkmark or OK button.  Again, the system is not warning you that the part or cartridge is incompatible or that there is a problem, merely that the part was not manufactured by HP.

When shopping for remanufactured or compatible toner cartridges, users must always buy from a reputable seller with a satisfaction guarantee.  This ensures that the cartridges will be a reliable replacement for the genuine OEM versions, and that if you are unsatisfied with your purchase, you can return it.

Now that you know the true intention of the “error code 10.32”, you can rest assured that your remanufactured or compatible toner cartridges will be compatible with your printer, and that this error message is just a protection against sellers labeling a third-party product as a genuine HP product.
