HP Color LaserJet CP2025n
By JimC • Jun 10th, 2009 • Category: HP Color Printer ReviewsSo you’re trying to find a good printing solution for your home or home based business? The HP CP2025n is here. It is a great LaserJet Printer that has network abilities and a paper capacity of 300 sheets, and a maximum of 500 sheets. For $374 dollars you won’t do much better, and it is capable of color and monochrome printing.
This printer comes with a standard two paper trays, and a maximum of three. It also supports printing on both sides of the paper, which is a plus for many people. Users with multiple media needs will also be happy to know that it supports many different paper sizes including 8.5×13, 3×5 in, 4×6 in, 5×8 envelopes, and many more. It also supports many different types of paper, making it great for whatever type of operation you have going.
The printer also comes standard with 128 megabytes of ram, upgradeable to 384 megabytes of ram, making it incredibly fast in processing your requests, as well as changes to the settings. The processor speed is approximately 540 mhz, and it supports HP PCL 6, HP PCL 5c, and HP Postscript 1.
As far as speed goes, the printer is average, printing around 21 pages per minute, but that doesn’t mean it’s not worth a look. It has reliability on its side, and print quality is crisp, clear, and shows no signs of fading.
This printer is supported by many different operating systems, including Windows 2000, XP, Vista, and even Mac OS X. It is also able to be used on systems with as little as a Pentium II processor, making it ideal for that old computer in the corner that you planned to use as a print server.
The biggest problem you’ll run into with this particular printer is the fact that the toner cartridges can cost up to $100 dollars and in some cases well over $200 depending on the reseller that you purchase it from, which may steer some home users away, but for a small business this may be the perfect solution. Overall, the print quality and reliability make it a great solution for the home or small business user.
